LOOK: Agot Isidro claims there’s a disconnection between the athletes and the cauldron in the opening ceremony

The Opening Ceremony of the 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) games is indeed amazing and some of the netizen described it as a “world class” show.

However, despite the positive feedback coming from the netizens, Actress Agot Isidro criticized the alleged disconnection between the athletes and the controversial cauldron during the opening ceremony.

In her twitter post, Agot Isidro said that the athletes failed to saw the lighting of the cauldron in person because the Philippine Arena where the Opening Ceremony was held was miles away.

“There’s a certain disconnect when the participating athletes are in 1 indoor venue and the ceremonial lighting of cauldron miles away. More so, that ceremony was done days before. Did the athletes see it at all? Did anyone? Live?” the actress said on her twitter account.

She even described the opening ceremony as “mere pomp & pageantry”.

Legendary OPM artist Jim Paredes also expressed his admiration to the opening ceremony of the SEA Games.

“Congrats sa opening ng SEAG 2019. I could not watch cuz we had a show. Watching clips now on my phone. What a grand show. Congrats to the organizers and artists. Ok athletes Do your best. Mabuhay tayong lahat! Go Philippines,” Paredes said on his twitter account.
