One of the former student of Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) shared her story on how the leftist group recruited her way back October 2014.

As the investigation over the missing children allegedly recruited by the leftist group still ongoing, Former PUP student who introduced herself as “Allen” said that she is aware on how to groups spread propaganda in universities.

According to her, She was recruited by a member of the League of the Filipino Students (LFS) to talk about contractualization in the country. She even said that she was convinced to join the LFS to fight for her mothers right as a contractual worker.

She also narrated that when she joined the LFS, she received some short course titled as “MKLRP” or Maikling Kurso ng Lipunan at Rebolusyong Pilipino.

She said that at first she was amazed by the new things she discovered upon joining the LFS. She also said that she was also recruited to the Kabataang Makabayan, an organization that supports the New People’s Army.

“Wala pa po akong masyadong alam noon sa mundo, kaya po siguro madali rin po akong nakumbinsi,” she said.

According to her, a member of Kabataang Makabayan teaches her to deny that she belongs to the group because of the danger if the cops or soldiers found out that she is a member of the said group.

Allen said that she was successfully recruited by her group mates to join the NPA after 3 years of being an activist.

However, Allen said that when she became pregnant and ask for help to her organization, she didn’t received any help from them. “Kahit piso wala silang ibinigay, dahil wala na silang pakinabang sa amin,” she said.

With this, She decided to stop her life as a rebel and surrendered to the members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. She also claimed that she knows some of the missing children who join the leftist group.
