“I have recently been informed that a resource person who attended the hearing of the Committee on Basic Education, Arts and Culture last March 5, 2020, which I Chair, has tested positive for COVID-19,”

“Though I am asymptomatic and feel healthy, I will follow government set protocols on such cases and go into self-quarantine immediately given that I interacted with the said individual during that committee hearing,” dagdag pa ng senador.

Gatchalian.

Basahin ang naging pahayag ng Office of Davao City Mayor on Mayor Sara Duterte’s Voluntary Quarantine:

Mayor Sara Duterte shall undergo a voluntary monitored home quarantine and has signed up as a Person Under Monitoring under the Davao City Health Office.

One of Mayor Duterte’s employees at their residence was unwell last night and is now also listed as a Person Under Monitoring.

Yesterday, Mayor Sara was in a lunch meeting with Committee on Environment Senator Sherwin Gatchalian in Manila and they discussed important matters for Davao City. Senator Gatchalian is himself under a self-quarantine in an announcement made last night.

While Mayor Sara has not suffered from flu-like symptoms, she chose to undergo self-quarantine to protect others if she may be found to be sick in the next few days. She is now confined in an isolated bedroom at her residence and will continue to work through emails, messaging, and videotelecon.

All those who need the attention of the Mayor may directly message her through her mobile number.
