On Wednesday, Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso mourned the deāth of cultural activist, performance artist and one of the critics of Duterte’s administration Carlos Celdran who passed away on Tuesday.
Mayor Isko Moreno said in a Facebook post.
“On behalf of the people of the City of Manila, kami po ay nakikiramay sa pamilya ni Mr. Carlos Celdran.
Carlos Celdran is known for his guided tours in Intramuros Manila.
“He’s doing it on his own little way, the way he knows it, in fact some people may not understand him, but one thing is for sure, whatever he’s doing, he’s doing it for the city of Manila.” Moreno cited.
It can be recalled that in 2010, Celdran gained a lot of attention for protesting at Manila Cathedral with a placard that read “Damäso” during a service attended by local leaders of the Church.
